Be­low is a photo from this week­end. Un­like the last blog, this is women’s ice hockey be­tween Augs­burg and Gus­tavus. The game was a score-fest, with Gus­tavus notch­ing a 9–0 win.

St. Johns wrestler Chad Henle fights off a re­ver­sal at­tempt by Wartburg’s Tommy Mirocha in their 133-pound first round match at the 2011 NCAA Di­vi­sion III Wrestling Na­tional Cham­pi­onships in La Crosse, Wis. Henle de­feated the eighth-seeded Mirocha 10–8 in over­time. Henle placed sev­enth while Mirocha placed fourth.

Concordia’s Daron Ho­hbein (bot­tom) pre­pares to start the third pe­riod against Dan Herr in their 133-pound first round match at the 2011 NCAA Di­vi­sion III Wrestling Na­tional Cham­pi­onships in La Crosse, Wis. Ho­hbein pinned Herr 1:41 into the period.

St. Olaf’s Ryan Tim­mer­man (right) grap­ples with Wartburg’s Matt Kelly in their 141-pound first round match at the 2011 NCAA Di­vi­sion III Wrestling Na­tional Cham­pi­onships in La Crosse, Wis. Tim­mer­man de­feated Kelly 4–3.

The Augs­burg Col­lege base­ball team lines up to con­grat­u­late left fielder Jeff But­ler (FY, Prior Lake, Minn.) on his first col­le­giate home run dur­ing a 17–1 loss to the No. 5 St. Thomas Tom­mies in MIAC Base­ball Play­off ac­tion in Dun­das, Minn. The fourth-seeded Aug­gies will face the top-seeded Tom­mies in the sev­enth and fi­nal game of the double-elimination tournament.

Ac­tion be­tween Paul Bjork­strand (Augs­burg) and Be­beto Yewah (Wisconsin-La Crosse) in the 133 pound fi­nal of the 2010 NCAA Di­vi­sion III Wrestling Na­tional Cham­pi­onships in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on March 6. Yewah won the match 14–9. Augs­burg won the team ti­tle for the 11th time in 20 years.
