Back in Minnesota now

Got back to Minnesota on Sunday afternoon. The whether was wet on the trip back with driving rain in Iowa and slush and very light, but wet snow near the Minnesota Iowa border. Cleared up around Owatonna. As soon as I got home, my dad took me out to the New Buffet in Northfield, which was the first real food I’d had since I left for Iowa (I won’t count fast or catered food as real food).

The third and fourth sessions went okay for the Auggies. They didn’t do as well as I had hoped but still got second place in the competition with one individual national champion.

Pics from all sessions to follow.

Wrestling Nationals

I am down in Iowa. The weather is great. It was 77 degrees on the drive down.

I am here to photography the Division III Wrestling National Champions for Augsburg.

Hopefully I’ll be able to share some images as I take them. I’ll also try to get some featured images up from both the MIAC men’s championship and MCAC men’s championship games from this past weekend. St. Thomas beat Bethel in the MIAC and Minneapolis beat Rochester in the MCAC.

Hockey for a Cause

I shot last night’s women’s hockey game between Augsburg and St. Mary’s (Minn.). Augsburg won a rare game on Friday night and hoped to continue it’s momentum into Saturday night. Augsburg had a one-goal lead twice, but the Cardinals managed to battle back for a 2–2 draw after overtime. Tiffany Magnuson (SR, Green Bay, Wis./Notre Dame Academy HS) scored both Augsburg goals.

The event featured special pink jourseys in support of the fight against breast cancer.

Included is  Magnuson scoring her second goal.

Tiffany Magnuson scores

That’s all for now.
