New project: Vanilla 2 phpBB3

Saturday, January 30th, 2010

While most of my work these days is related to photography, I do have a few other hobbies, one of which is providing support on phpBB.com. phpBB is a forum system, based on a coding language called PHP. As part of that project, I became aware of a smaller, less-well-know forum solution called Vanilla. I wanted to test myself and see if I could create a converter for switching from Vanilla to phpBB3.

Thus, the Vanilla 2 phpBB3 project was born. The project is being hosted by SourceForge and has a numerous features, including a blog. The process of creating the converter will take some time, but it should be worth it in the end.

Augsburg — the number one team in Division III — defeated UNO 18-12. After the meet, another gathering was held at Sgt. Preston’s bar, but I didn’t shoot that. Click to continue »

Wednesday, January 13th, 2010

On November 21, I had the privilege of shooting University of Minnesota wrestler Jayson Ness pin his way through the Auggie-Brute-Adidas Open at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minn. Ness — the second-ranked wrestler in NCAA Division I and three-time All-American — had no problems with his Division II and III and NAIA opponents.
