The following image is from a high school boy’s soccer game between the Washburn Millers and the Henry Patiots in Minneapolis, Minn. Washburn earned a 3–0 win in the game on Sept. 22, 2009.
I chose this image because of the light. The background and face really pop out from the image, while the rest of the image is muted and that draws the attention back to the face.

On Saturday, I went out to St. Olaf to shoot their cross country invite. It was the first time since the 2007 MIAC championships that I had shot cross country and I think I did a pretty good job.
I have included images that got sent out to sports information directors at various schools.
All shot with Canon 30D and Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 lens; some with 1.4x TC attached.

Went to the Northfield High School football game tonight. I watched a bit of the first half and shot the second half for fun. Hutchinson won 19–14 with the Raider’s QB Sam Maus (collarbone) out in the first quarter, Northfield seemed a bit sluggish on offense.
